Antique Flea Markets.

NYC is good for many many things...though among them, is not antique stores. Ya know, the huge antique flea market type deals they have all over the south and in weird suburbs, tucked away in corners, filled to the brim with relics of the past? We just don't have those here. And i'm totally in hot pursuit of an antique, wrought-iron bed such as this one! It makes me beyond sad that one of these amazing pieces from yesteryear is tucked away in one of those huge antique shops, marked with some ridiculously low price tag, just out of my reach. So i ask you (those living in the reasonably close by northeast)...if while perusing your favorite huge antique store and you see one....can ya just let me know? It may just warrant a road trip!

will you go out with me? circle yes or no.

should I or shouldn't I? i can't decide. i've been thinking that i want a good pair of really feminine wedges for the summer. i'm a sucker for comfort, so i tend to lean towards flats all the time. but i always think i look stumpy with my short, little legs. mabe i could use a leg illusion? anyway, these are really lovely (thanks charlotte ronson!), but priiiiicey. not sure if i should take the plunge or not. anyone spot any awesome wedges lately that might not break the bank? be sure to let me know if you do.

Suede you look

I've been drooling over these beauties at Urban Outfitters for months now, but I hate forking over so many dollops (a steep $58) for shoes that look like sweet vintage finds, but who really are fresh off the conveyor belt. But $19.99 is quite a different story! So happy was I when I just discovered they went on sale! Perhaps I shall make them mine.
